New All-Black Horror Anthology
Non-traditional stories of the undead, as told by authors from the African diaspora
Rock Hill, South Carolina: Mocha Memoirs Press, in conjunction with horror writer and
podcaster Tonia Ransom, will be releasing a new anthology of stories written exclusively
by Black writers exploring non-traditional stories of the undead on June 23. Blackened
Roots is the 13th anthology released by Mocha Memoirs Press, and the first publication
the press has co-edited with World Fantasy Award winner Tonia Ransom.
Four episodes selected from the anthology will also be published on the NIGHTLIGHT
podcast in June in celebration of Juneteenth.
Blackened Roots will be available starting June 23, at $20 for a paperback copy, and
$28 for a hardcover, but it is available for pre-order now on Amazon, or via the Mocha
