Press Release
February 9, 2021 — Rock Hill, SC.
The publishers of SLAY, Black Magic Women, and The Grotesquerie are pleased to announce a fourth anthology of groundbreaking femme-centric horror: Slice Girls. Mocha Memoirs Press is on a mission to amplify marginalized voices in speculative fiction by publishing diverse and inclusive stories featuring protagonists beyond the norm of mainstream publishing.
Edited by Carmilla Voiez, Slice Girls is a compendium of horrific tales featuring femme fatales, vengeance, spurned lovers, vindictive ghosts, and blood-thirsty misandrists. This unique collection of woman-centric Splatter Goth explores the violent potential of the “fairer sex” and proves the age-old maxim – the female of the species is more deadly than the male.
These twenty-two stories of horror, torture, murder, and mayhem come from Indie Authors around the globe: Mei Kerr, Dan Allen, Carmilla Voiez, Jef Rouner, Kevin David Anderson. Nickie Jamison, Alicia Hilton, Jason Dyer, Shannon Grant, Elisabeth Popolow, Sandra Wiltje, Astrid Addams, Sergio “ente per ente” Palumba, N.M. Brown, Amdi Silvestri, Samie Sands, Emily C Skaftun, Joe DiCicco, Tanja Cilia, Kelley Frank, Gina Ranalli, and Kenzie Jennings. All proceeds from the book for the first 90 days will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
